The church was built in 1906 and is of a typical Victorian style. However whilst the worship area remains original, about 10 years ago the old schoolroom was demolished and replaced by a modern hall which is now connected to the older part. This has given us a very useful modern set of premises which are used for a range of church activities and are let to a number of other groups. The Ashby Youth for Christ team use one of the rooms as their office and base. A smaller room is set aside as a permanent prayer room.

As is common with many churches we have few younger families or children although we do have a Sunday school to look after the younger ones who do come. We have an All Age worship service once a month, often planned by our stewards and worship leaders. Our choir, though small, practises regularly and sings at special services.
We have one evening service each month. lt is of a more informal nature and is a communion service, mostly led by our minister.

Access to the church is either from Burton Road, or from the corner of the Co-op car park, where you can park for free for up to an hour but note that you must obtain and display a ticket from one of the machines in the car park..

We are members of the local Council of churches and provide support where we can for the many outreach activities offered by the various churches.
The church takes a leading role in the local Open the Book team taking bible stories into 6 local schools on a monthly basis witnessing to 1000 school children.
Church members lead a short service once a month at one of the local homes for the elderly.
Midweek worship and monthly evening worship services are also held together with a number of other activities.

There is a Memory Cafe from 1.30 until 3 on the third Monday of each month and there is a Messy Church from 3.30 'til 5 on the last Thursday of each month. We also have a couple of house groups and a monthly ladies group.
We have a coffee morning on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 'til 12.

Our fund raising and social committee is active in organising a number of events throughout the year including a quiz night, plant sale, craft fair and flower demonstration. ln addition we have a BBQ, a garden party and a number of family lunches after worship on a Sunday,

The modern facilities are extensively used by groups in the wider community.
Users of the hall include the local art club, a Brownie group, the Ashby Music and Theatre Group, the Ashby History Society, the local Speakers club and NWL Wildlife Trust.
