The Methodist Church, located in the centre of Sutton Bonington, is one of four churches in the village.

St. Michael’s and St Anne’s, both Anglican churches, and the Baptist Church, together with the Methodist Church have strong ecumenical links and work closely on projects such as Christian Aid, the Big Christmas Sing in local pubs, the annual Village Show, Lent Groups and a recent Alpha Express Course.

This year the churches worked with the circuit Family and Children’s Worker to host The Easter Journey, an interactive event for local schools, and plans are well under way for The Christmas Journey.

There is a fortnightly Wednesday Fellowship meeting, (alternating with the Baptist Church Coffee Break) and we hold regular, united family and parade services for the uniformed groups in the village and a monthly service of Holy Communion at the local sheltered housing project.

Monthly meetings of The Local History Society are held on the church premises, and a United Choir, which presents regular concerts and leads services at Easter and Christmas, meets weekly.

Services are open to all and a warm, friendly welcome awaits.
